In collaboration with the Center for Humanities Inquiring Minds

The College of Arts and Sciences is proud to host our inaugural Research Celebration – a virtual event for Arts & Sciences students to share their research and creative endeavors as a culmination of their hard work throughout the academic year. Whether they worked in in the lab, the field, studio, or archives, this event highlights our outstanding students’ activities across the numerous and varied disciplines represented in the College.

All undergraduates with a major or minor in the College of Arts & Sciences are invited to create professional posters summarizing their innovative and impactful work. The deadline for submission is Sunday, April 18, 2021.

Call for Proposals:  

All student posters (video submissions) will be displayed on the College’s website during the week-long celebration from April 26-30, 2021.  During this time students, faculty, parents, alumni and guests are invited to visit the gallery of posters and view the research you've done.

*** Poster entries submitted to the Research, Creativity, and Innovation Forum (RCIF) can also be submitted to the Research Celebration virtual event.

A faculty panel will select a short list of posters to be presented at the Capstone Celebration of the Student Presentation on Thursday, April 29, 2021.

Student panelists will discuss their experiences in finding research opportunities, presenting their research, possible funding opportunities, and the value of their field’s research in relation to their professional goals.

The College will host industry panels where students can hear from alumni and professionals in specific fields who can speak to the value of their professions, about the steps they took, and decisions they made throughout their careers.
