"Beyond the Book" Scholarship
With the support of two generous gifts, the College of Arts and Sciences has established the “Beyond the Book” scholarship program, designed to enable Arts and Sciences undergraduate students to pursue special intensive learning beyond the traditional classroom experience. Opportunities include, but are not limited to, lab research, archaeological field schools, and archival work.
This program was initiated in summer 2007, with over 50 applications from 18 departments. 14 students were awarded a “Beyond the Book” scholarship and received a $2,500 stipend. Some of the students’ proposals are posted below.
Deadline to submit applications: Monday, March 1, 2010
