Jones explores the differences in public discussions and in conceptions of “the public” as represented in such media forum shows as This Week with Sam Donaldson and Politically Correct with Bill Maher. Using examples from the Clinton era, Jones shows how these media not only discuss events differently, but also construct “the public” very differently as well.
