Great Dane: The Ring Theatre Presents Hamlet
Play features guest director and Broadway veteran Jay Goede
Often called William Shakespeare’s best play, Hamlet, the Theatre Arts Department’s latest production will be presented at The Jerry Herman Ring Theatre, October 21 - 31. A tale of ghosts, murder, and mayhem, Hamlet stars the University of Miami’s most talented student thespians and is guest directed by Broadway veteran Jay Goede, who recently appeared opposite Valerie Harper in Looped at Arena Stage in Washington D.C.
Known for his work on the Great White Way in Angels in America, A Year with Frog and Toad and Sex and Longing, Goede starred in the first national tour of The Roundabout Theatre’s revival of Cabaret. He’s also sparred with The Bard, acting in several Shakespeare classics including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, The Merchant of Venice and many others.
