UM MPA program
Dual Degree Program:
Master of Public Administration &
Master of Public Health
The Master of Public Administration/Master of Public Health combines programs from the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Medicine and is designed for students who seek an in-depth knowledge of management and public policy administration with training in public health. It is possible for full-time students to complete the requirements for both degrees within two and one-half years. Interested students must apply and be accepted by both Departments. Students may complete the requirements for the MPA and MPH degrees consecutively or in succession. In either case, candidates for the dual degree must fulfill 60 credit hours of designated coursework.

ADMISSION PROCEDURES
Applicants must be admitted into the MPA and MPH
programs on a separate basis. Acceptance by one program
does not in any way indicate or guarantee acceptance by the other degree program. All candidates for admission are expected to submit the following materials: (Apply to the MPA online)
- Completed and signed application form
- Official transcripts of all college work
- Three written letters ofrecommendation
- A current resume
- A non-refundable application fee of $50.00
- Official GRE Scores
ADMISSION DEADLINES
Admission into the dual degree program is held twice a year.
Applications for the Fall semester are accepted through June 1st. The Spring application deadline is November 1st. The MPA program also offers Summer admission.
