Research Interests

  • My interests are the new Francophone writers and filmmakers, the novel and film adaptation, and the cinematic writing techniques.

  • I really enjoy studying in the Modern Languages and Literatures department at the University of Miami.  It is a pleasure and a privilege to prepare a Ph.D. in Romance Studies here.  All the professors are great and I can take classes in other departments, as well.  My cognate field is film and I have already taken three film courses to complete my knowledge of cinema.  After fulfilling my prerequisites in French and Francophone literatures, I was able to take Italian and Spanish courses, as well.  I fell very well prepared for the job market.  The DILS program has allowed me to study Korean, which is a great challenge for me, but I am very excited to speak this wonderful language and to learn about a new culture.  Now, I feel part of a real intellectual and cosmopolitan community.  I love UM!
