Dissertation Defense

Nada Naami defended her dissertation, “La peinture au Maroc: contexte historique et évolution de la reception," at the University Chouaib Doukkali of El Jedida on December 24, 2014. She was awarded "grande distinction" and "felicitations du jury.

Fellowships, Awards, Grants

Francisca Aguiló Mora received the 12th Annual Feministas Unidas Essay Award for Graduate Students for her essay, "Memory Mambo de Achy Obejas: Bailando al son de 'lo local' en un imaginario post-nacional."

Américo Mendoza-Mori was awarded the University of Pennsylvania Language Teaching Innovation Grant for the project, "Thinking Andean Studies: an Interdisciplinary Colloquium."

Ainai Morales Pino has received a LASA graduate student Travel Award to present at the 2015 annual conference in San Juan.
