Dissertation Defense

Walter S. Temple passed his Dissertation Defense with “Distinction” on October 29, 2014.

Prizes

María Gracia Pardo was awarded the 2014 Barrett Prize for best dissertation in Latin American Studies at the University of Miami.

Ernesto Fundora Castro was awarded a 2014 Tinker Foundation Field Research Grant from the UM Center for Latin American Studies.

Francisca Aguiló Mora was awarded the 2014 Cuban Heritage Collection Graduate Pre-Prospectus Fellowship.

Walter S. Temple and Eva Silot Bravo were awarded the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Dissertation Award for AY 2014-15.
