Course Load

  • • Full Time study is considered 9 credits per semester (for fall and spring terms). Students may take up to 12 credits during the fall or the spring.
  • • Part Time study is 3-6 credits per semester, and is typical of most graduate students.

*Students who are seeking financial aid should inquire as to the minimum number of credits to qualify for financial assistance.

Non-Degree Seeking Status

  • • Applicants may apply as non-degree seeking by submitting the application form, $65 fee, and official transcripts. As NDS, students are able to take up to 6 credits in the MALS Program. After which students may elect to apply to the program as degree seeking by completing the remainder of the application requirements.

Conditional Acceptance

  • • Students who do not meet the minimum GPA of 3.0 for admission may be accepted on a conditional basis. Conditional students may only register for a maximum of 2 courses, and must pass both with a grade “B” or higher. After the successful completion of the two courses students will have their applications reevaluated for full acceptance into the MALS Program.
