First-year Seminar Capstone Trip to
Havana, Cuba, 2004

Prof. Lillian Manzor took the first year seminar in Latin American Studies to Havana, Cuba in December 2004. Students analyzed on site what they had learned throughout the semester. Students also attended the Cuba Summit at the Biltmore Hotel (Miami, October 2004), and met keynote speaker, Mikhail Gorbachev, thanks to funding provided by Silvia Wilhelm, director of Puentes Cubanos.
