The vision of the Department of International Studies posits as its core objective providing undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Miami with a firm grounding in the social sciences (especially political science and economics), and the humanities disciplines to foster creative exploration of the global system from alternative perspectives.

Academic Deadlines:
Applications for Fall 2013 will be accepted until December 15, 2012.

Financial Aid Deadlines:
Ph.D. – Fellowship and assistantship decisions for Fall 2013 will be automatically made on those files received by the December 15, 2012 academic deadline.

MA – No financial aid in the form of a fellowship or assistantship is available for MA students. Loans and grants are available through the Office of Financial Aid.
