Background Information

Ioana Popovici is a Senior Research Associate with the Health Economics Research Group at the University of Miami. Ioana received her doctorate in Economics from Florida International University in 2007. Ioana’s main research interests are technological change, R&D, and health economics. Her dissertation focuses on the relationship between intellectual property rights and innovation. While working on her dissertation, she also collaborated with the Health Economics Research Group on a project that examined the impact of alcohol consumption on physical activity.
