What is Geology?
Geological sciences focus on the environment, global and climate change, natural hazards, and discovery and exploitation of energy and mineral resources. It is an applied science: students must have a solid grounding in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Graduates in this field have no trouble getting jobs: government, academia, and private industry (especially in the fields of environment and energy) are hungry for graduates with a background in geological sciences, and starting salaries are high
