Advising

English majors with a concentration in Creative Writing should make an advising appointment with Prof. Alison, Prof. Galang or Prof. Ansay.  English majors with a concentration in literature should see one of the other faculty advisors listed below.  You are free to go to any advisor who is appropriate for your concentration within the major, and you may change advisors at any time.

Once you have chosen a faculty advisor, follow the instructions given below for making an appointment with that advisor.  If you see the link “Schedule an appointment” next to the advisor’s name, you will be able to make your appointment on-line by clicking on the link.  When you go to your appointment, please take a copy of your Academic Curriculum Evaluation (ACE), which you can print out through myUM.  Your advisor will have a Course Request Form for you to fill out during the appointment.
