Brazilian Movie Series Fall 2012: Dzi Croquettes Part of the Miami Consortium's Foreign Languages Across the Curriculum Lecture Series 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Merrick Building, Room 210-01 (MLL Conference Room) The Brazilian Film Series Fall 2012 is a continuation of the highly successful Spring 2012 Brazilian Movie Series and consists of three separate film showings: Thursday, September 27th, 6:00pm - Dzi Croquettes (2009) Presented by Prof. Steve Butterman Thursday, October 18th, 6:00pm - O Casamento de Romeu e Julieta (Romeo and Juliet Get Married; 2005) Presented by Prof. Leila da Costa Thursday, November 29th, 6:00pm - Durval Discos (Durval Records; 2002) Presented by Felipe Paradizzo, Fulbright Fellow All three films are in Portuguese with English subtitles. Please join UM faculty for a bilingual discussion following each film when light Brazilian refreshments will be served. The Brazilian Film Series is part of the Miami Consortium's Foreign Languages Across the Curriculum Lecture Series and is co-sponsored by the Portuguese Program of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures and the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS).
