Dr. Richard Schrock (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) was our Nelson Lecture speaker on April 14th, 2017. Dr. Schrock received the 2005 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. We all enjoyed his visit and his friendly interactions with our students.

Congratulations to Dr. Adam Braunschweig; he has been awarded the Journal of Physical Organic Chemistry (JPOC) Award for Early Excellence in Physical Organic Chemistry which includes a stipend of $7000 and a plaque of recognition.

Congratulations to our Department Chairman, Dr. Roger Leblanc; he has been awarded a 1.5million dollar contract to collaborate with King Abdulaziz University.
