| Welcome to the University of Miami Center for Advanced Microscopy (UMCAM) The Center for Advanced Microscopy is located in the Department of Chemistry at Coral Gables campus of University of Miami. Our objective is to provide cutting edge microscopic imaging technology and X-ray elemental analysis on Fee-for-Service basis. The center has extended its scope and services within and outside the university to serve research groups working in Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Devices, Materials Science, Failure Analysis, Geology, Textile, Archaeology, and Agricultural Science. The Center houses state of the art Phillips XL-30 FEG Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope (ESEM) with capabilities of HiVac mode and Environmental mode (Wet mode) imaging, Phillips EM-300 100keV Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), and Oxford L-300QI-Link ISIS Energy Dispersive Spectrometer (EDS) together with Carbon and Gold Sputter Coating Instruments [Click here for details] |
