Philosophy Lecture

Dr. John Biro is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Florida. He is co-editor of Spinoza: Metaphysical Themes (2001), Frege: Sense and Reference One Hundred Years Later (1995), Mind, Brain, and Function (1982), and Spinoza: New Perspectives (1978). Among his papers are “Hume's new science of the mind", (The Cambridge Hume Companion, 1995), "In defense of social content", (Philosophical Studies, 1992), Meaning, translation, and interpretation", (Australasian Journal of Philosophy, 1981), "Intentionalism in the theory of meaning", (The Monist, 1979), and "Hume on memory and self-identity", (Review of Metaphysics, 1976).
