Posters and Travel Awards

Call for Poster Submissions

There will be a poster session on the first day of the workshop. Poster submissions are being accepted through June 13, 2008, with the exception of students and postdocs who wish to be considered for Travel Awards (see below).

Abstract Submission Guidelines
(New Deadline June 13, 2008)

Posters should be landscape format and not larger than 46 inches wide by 34 inches tall

Please send a poster title and abstract (150-200 words) as a Word or text document to aphidworkshop@bio.miami.edu and include "poster abstract" in the subject line. Research can include all aspects of aphid biology and/or genomics. The poster session will be used as a way to help the community get to know one another.

Graduate Student and Postdoc Travel Awards
(deadline April 2, 2008)

Money is available to help support graduate student and postdoc participation in the workshop. Selected postdocs and graduate students will have their registration fee waived and will receive $350 for travel/accommodation assistance. Graduate students and postdocs receiving funds will be expected to present a poster at the conference. Those interested in applying should send a poster title and abstract (150-200 words), along with a CV, as Word or text files, to aphidworkshop@bio.miami.edu by April 2, 2008. Please apply only if sufficient funds are not available for your participation from other sources.
