Senior Advising
See your advisor every semester to make sure you are meeting the requirements for your major.
As an Arts and Sciences student, you can get a copy of your personal "ACE" at the Center for Academic Services. The ACE lists courses that you have taken and courses yet required for completion of your degree, your major(s), minor(s) and general university requirements.
For second semester Juniors or for Seniors:
Make sure to get an official credit check.
The Credit Check is a written confirmation of requirements remaining for graduation and is prepared by the Director of Senior Advising, Marian Dahman. The best time to schedule an appointment with Ms. Dahman is between late October and early November, or in late March or Early April. If you are unable to get a credit check before registering, don't worry. A Credit Check can be done during the registration period and the allowable period for drop/adds. Please contact Stephanie Bibiloni to make an appointment with the director.
For Seniors: In order to graduate you must fill out an "Application for Graduation/Diploma" form at the beginning of your last semester.
Summer graduates may want to walk in the may commencement ceremony.
In order to have your name in the commencement program, applications for Summer graduation must be turned in by the Spring deadline. There is a ceremony with caps and gowns for Arts and Sciences December graduates the week before final examinations, although you can opt to walk in May.
