Important Info
- English and Modern Languages Notice
Any student enrolled in English Composition (ENG 105, ENG 106) or Modern Languages at the 100- and 200-level who has 2 consecutive unexcused absences during the add period will be DROPPED from the class roll. - AP/IB/DE/Transfer English Composition
Please check your schedules for ENG 105 or ENG 106. If you are enrolled in ENG 105 or ENG 106 and have already received credit (or had your requirements waived) for one or both classes, remember to DROP the class during your advising meeting.
700 or greater SAT Verbal ENG 105 requirement waived
(no credit earned)32 or greater ACT English ENG 105 requirement waived
(no credit earned)5 on AP English Composition (Literature or Language) 6 credits earned for
ENG 105 and ENG 1066, 7 on IB English A1 (Higher Level) 6 credits earned for
ENG 105 and ENG 106Dual Enrollment or Transfer Credit for ENG 105 or ENG 106 Credit earned for appropriate

Things to Remember:
- Are you enrolled in 4 or 5 classes?
- Are you enrolled in any course for which you received or will receive
AP/IB/DE/Transfer credit? - Are you enrolled in a course in your major? (i.e. BIL 150/151 for Biology, PSY 110 for Psychology, etc.)
- You have 168 hours in your week: use those hours wisely! When scheduling your week, don’t forget to include sleep and study time!
- Don’t stress – give yourself time to settle in before switching schools or declaring multiple majors (at least a semester), or going home!
