To ensure timely progress towards degree completion, it is strongly recommended that students meet with their advisor every semester. To assist with advising and registration, students can view and print a copy of their Degree Progress Report (DPR) on CaneLink under Academic Requirements. It is recommended that students review this document each semester before meeting with an advisor.

Senior Credit Check:

The Office of Academic Services advises that second semester juniors and any senior obtain a Senior Credit Check. This is accomplished by meeting with the Senior Advisor, Marian Dahman. Please plan a senior credit check well in advance, as advising appointments fill quickly. If students are unable to obtain a credit check before registering, don't worry. A Credit Check can be completed during the registration period and the allowable period for drop/adds. To make an appointment with the Senior Advisor, please contact Academic Services at 305-284-4333, or make an appointment via our GradesFirst system here: Make an Appointment

Commencement Information:

Please visit the Office of Commencement’s website for detailed information:

Important Notes:

Students must apply for graduation online via CaneLink. Deadlines are posted each semester on the official Academic Calendar. Summer graduates can walk in the May Commencement Ceremony, but in order to have names listed in the May Commencement Program, students must apply to graduate by the Spring graduation application deadline. There is a December Commencement Ceremony for Arts and Sciences December graduates the week before final examinations of fall semester, although you can opt to walk in the May Commencement Ceremonies.
